Vera McEvoy is an Irish multidisciplinary artist working in moving images among other media. McEvoy gained a BA Degree in Fine Art from The National College of Art and Design, Dublin, Ireland and received the inaugural Arthouse NCAD Graduate Award and Bursary 2011-2012. She has exhibited nationally and internationally since 2007. McEvoy has had solo exhibitions in: The School of Education, Maynooth University (2023), The Laois Arthouse, Stradbally, Co Laois (2014) and King House Boyle, Co Roscommon (2013). Her group shows include Surveyor (Solstice Arts Centre, Navan 2018), Homeland (Damer House, Roscrea 2016); Landfillart Project (Pennsylvania, USA 2012; International Print Show (El Minia, Egypt 2012). Her work is represented in public collections in NIVAL (http://www.nival.ie/), Dublin; Laois County Council, Co Laois; Barretstown Camp, Co Kildare, and in private collections in Australia, England, Ireland, and the USA. McEvoy is the Artist in Residence - YPCE*, Froebel Department of Primary and Early Childhood Education, Maynooth University, Ireland. *YPCE is a Young People, Children and Education Residency supported by the Arts Council of Ireland. McEvoy has a number of publications to her name including Shifting Perspective in Contemporary Art: the role of Art, Artist and Participant, 2012, Lambert Academic Publishing.
