Corroon is an artist who works with video and performative interventions to critique neoliberal structures and its implications in everyday life. Within the narrative she adopts a pseudo-naïve role with a satirical underpinning in order to humorously reveal hierarchies and contradictions within the normative.
Corroon graduated from Fine Art Media at NCAD in 2014 and was in residency at Temple Bar Gallery & Studios as the 2016 Recent Graduate awardee. Recent exhibitions include My Brilliant Friend at Temple Bar Gallery, Fools Bells Fall at Hotel Maria Kapel (NL), Knowledge and other myths at Platform Arts Belfast and a solo presentation, JUST DO IT at Ormond Studios. In 2015 Corroon was shortlisted for the PLASTIK Emerging Artist Award at the Irish Film Institute. She has been a resident at Hotel Maria Kapel, Fire Station Artist Studios with the 2015 Digital Media Award and Ormond Studios.
