Michele Doyle is an Irish multimedia artist who works with film, sound, technology, and sculpture. She attended the National College of Art and Design where she received a Bachelor of Fine Art Media in 2013, and completed her Masters in Art and Research Collaboration in Dún Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology, Dublin in 2016. She was awarded the A4 Sounds Artist in Residence Award (2018), the Sirius Residency Award (2019), and the Fire Station Artists' Studios Digital Media Award (2019).
Doyle has exhibited extensively around Ireland, and in Canada, the Netherlands, and Poland. Yoga for the Eyes is an ongoing project, which has seen several iterations in Dublin and Cork. It investigates the Free Party movement in Ireland, the right to assembly, and the development of intentional communities, using archival footage, video collage, sculpture, and community-based interventions. Yoga for the Eyes was selected by the MExIndex for inclusion at the Dingle Film Festival https://www.dinglefilmfestival.com/ in 2019.
Doyle is a member of Brass Neck Press, an independent art publisher of artist editions, t-shirts and printed/digital ephemera.
