Atoosa Pour Hosseini (b. Tehran, Iran 1981) is an artist-filmmaker based in Dublin. Her work, which is influenced by historical avant-garde cinema, explores questions about illusion, reality, and perception through the media of drawing, painting, sculpture and film.

She holds a MA in Fine Art Media from the National College of Art and Design, Dublin, as well as a BA in Fine Art Painting from the Azad University of Art and Architecture, Tehran. She is resident in Temple Bar Gallery + Studios in 2015-2016 as part of the Project Studio award, and has received support for her practice from Culture Ireland and the Arts Council of Ireland.

She is a member of the Experimental Film Society (EFS) and frequently participates in discussion forums and exchanges, such as the LUX Critical Forum in Dublin.

Recent presentations have taken place at the Irish Film Institute (IFI), Dublin (2016); the 18th Annual MOVIATE Underground Film Festival, Harrisburg PA, USA (2016); FECI Bogota-International Independent Film Fair of Bogotá, Colombia (2016); Triskel Arts Centre, Cork (2016); the Museum of Modern Art, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (2016); Museum of Contemporary Art, Tehran, Iran (2015); Lichtblick-Kino Berlin, Germany (2015); Kinodromo, Bologna, Italy (2015).

Her works have been shown in many galleries, museums, festivals, and showcases throughout the world, in countries such as Iran, Ireland, Northern Ireland, England, USA, The Netherlands, Italy, Germany, Greece, Croatia, Brazil, and Estonia. Her work forms part of the Irish and International Institutes collection as well as private collections.

Pour Hosseini moved to Ireland in 2006 and currently lives and works in Dublin.
